This family-famous favorite is a fudge-like candy without the chocolate. My Grandma Syble made it every Christmas when I was growing up, so I always associate it with the holidays, family, tons of food, and heated Canasta card games! This recipe makes a wonderful gift for friends, teachers, and neighbors as it looks very pretty in a small box or tin.

Sidenote: Marshmallow is spelled with two A’s, no E’s, but I’m not willing to rewrite the recipe card that my grandma dictated to me in her kitchen when I was young and didn’t know…
GRANDMA SYBLE’S PEANUT BUTTER CANDY
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Sugar
- Small can PET Milk
- 12 large Marshmallows
- 6 oz Peanut Butter Chips
- 1 stick Oleo
- 1 cup Roasted Peanuts
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions:
- Mix sugar, milk, and marshmallows in a saucepan and bring to a hard boil for 6 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients.
- Mix until melted and pour into buttered pyrex dish.
- Cool completely.
- Cut into squares to serve.
