Frilly Fried Squash


  1. 4-6 Zucchini Squash
  2. 8-10 Yellow Squash
  3. Large White Onion
  4. 1/4 c. Sugar
  5. Salt
  6. Pepper
  7. Large Skillet
  8. Grapeseed Oil


  • Chop all the Squash and Onion.

  • Heat Grapeseed Oil in pan over medium heat.
  • Mix all ingredients in pan, seasoning as desired.
  • Cook uncovered over medium heat until veggies are soft and there is a nice amount of crispy “burn” throughout (the burn spots are the very best – trust me – Coach and I fight over these little bits and chunks!).

NOTE: I call this “Frilly” because I use special oil (Grapeseed) and sugar to give it a buttery, yummy taste that is a little reminiscent of high-maintenance girly-ness, but it’s soooooo worth it in the end.
