It’s been some time since I updated my annual reading list, so here it is…what I’ve been reading:
Due to my #nunee, quarantining, and a lot of sheltering at home, I think I will actually reach my goal of 52 books this year.
Also new this year, I began listening to audio books while I sew.
I wasn’t sure if I’d like that format – I’m a traditional, paper-book-in-my-hand kind of girl – but I really do enjoy them when the narrator is especially good.
I haven’t had time to write specific reviews, but here is a short list of my favorites so far this year:
- A Touch of Stardust by Kate Alcott (audio by Cassandra Campbell)
- What You Wish For by Katherine Center
- The Quilter’s Apprentice by Jennifer Chiaverini
- The Glittering Hour by Iona Grey
- Goodbye, Vitamin by Rachel Khong
- Dreamland Burning by Jennifer Latham
- Sold on a Monday by Kristina McMorris (audio by Brian Hutchinson)
- Beloved by Toni Morrison
- The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys
- The Charm Bracelet by Viola Shipman
- The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver
- A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
Three of those titles will be featured in a new [ad]venture that I am excited to announce next month, so please stay tuned!
